CERN pro’s reiterates safety of Large Hadron Collider

September 10, 2008 – 12:57 am

Today CERN will conduct a first of it’s kind test using Large Hadron Collider – it’s world’s most powerful particle accelerator housed underground with a length of 27 km (17 miles). It’s 175 meters underground.
The CERN’s Collider will push small proton beam with a speed of light around the tunnel 11000 times in a second.

Some critics say that energy released by such collisions may create a small black holes that may suck in anything, however CERN scientists say such assumptions are completely wrong. The test begins in 30 minutes from now on. Let’s wait and pray that all goes perfect or else we may get sucked into the black hole.
