UFO hits wind turbine in UK

January 9, 2009 – 7:29 am

There have been numerous reports that an UFO has hit and destroyed a wind turbine in Conisholme, Lincolnshire. Many folks report seeing strange lights and objects. Perhaps it’s a new airplane developed by military?

“There have been reports of flying saucers for more than six months,” the newspaper said.

Local John Harrison, 32, told The Sun he looked out of his window and saw “a massive ball of light with tentacles going right down to the ground.”

The newspaper said “other respected witnesses, such as local council chairman Robert Palmer and GP Jenny Watson, described seeing ’streaking white lights’.”

Quoting unnamed Ministry of Defence “insiders,” The Sun said the UFO sightings may be an unmanned stealth bomber on test flights.

It said the Taranis “black delta-wing craft” was being developed nearby to deliver bombs undetected in war zones; back to the testing board then?

Throw your shoe at George W Bush for a buck

January 6, 2009 – 1:38 am

If you happen to be in Ashland, Oregon take your chance and throw a shoe at Mr Bush picture. The cost for throwing the shoe is $1.

City Councillor Eric Navickas - who opened the Mada Shell Gallery in Ashland, Oregon, with partner Amy Godard - slathered a layer of red paint on the soles of trainers, boots and sandals before people fired the footwear at an 8-foot image of Mr Bush.

Miss Godard said the exhibit is a “statement of solidarity” with Muntadar al-Zeidi, the Iraqi journalist who was arrested after hurling two shoes at Bush in protest during a Baghdad news conference last month. But it is also a chance for the gallery to raise money for future exhibits.

New European smashing pumpkin record

October 14, 2008 – 2:12 am

The record-breaking pumpkin took 129 days to grow and was weighed using a special winch device at the Annual Pumpkin Show in Netley, near Southampton, Hants,

The Patons used a trailer pulled by a Volvo estate car to transport their giant vegetable to the show at Netley’s Royal Victoria Country Park where it was weighed in front of witnesses.

It was planted in a greenhouse in April and needed one and a half tonnes of manure to reach its current size.

Eric Limeback the kubik cube pro

September 26, 2008 – 9:33 am

A few weeks ago we posted article about the kubik’s cube in 23 steps or less and I found a really interesting video on youtube, showing Eric Limeback solving 11 Kubik’s cubes blindfolded. This is a new 11/11 Multi-BLD Canadian record that was set on August 23rd, 2008.

It took about 1 hour and 20 minutes to memorize, and 20 minutes to solve. Total time was 1 hour, 41 minutes. I had to go to the bathroom twice during memorization too :P

This guy a total pro with excellent skills and memory!
